1. Introduction

Welcome to In Match (“we”, “us”, “our”). In Match is a mobile application that provides football match information, live scores, news, favorites, notifications, and related features.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share, and protect your information when you use the In Match app on iOS and Android.

By using In Match, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information in the following ways:

2.1 Information you provide directly

• Email address (if you register with email/password)
• Account credentials (handled securely through authentication services)
• Display name / username (if you choose to provide one)
• Profile photo (if you upload or take a photo using the camera or photo library)
• Preferences you set in the app, such as favorite teams and leagues, followed leagues/teams, language preference, and notification preferences
• Communications you send to us (support emails)

2.2 Guest use

You may use In Match as a guest without creating a full account. In guest mode, we may still collect limited technical and usage information and store some preferences locally on your device.

2.3 Information collected automatically

• Device information (device type, operating system, app version)
• App usage data (such as app opens, session activity, and feature usage)
• Approximate country/region (derived from IP address for content relevance and analytics)
• Timezone (to show match times correctly)
• Anonymous identifier (if you are not signed in, we may assign a temporary anonymous ID for analytics)
• Firebase user ID (when you are signed in)
• Push notification token (to deliver notifications)
• Crash/performance-related technical logs (through platform and backend services)

We do not collect precise GPS location from your device for this app’s core features.

2.4 Sign in with third parties

If you choose to sign in with Google or Apple, we receive information from that provider according to your permissions, such as name, email, and provider user ID. We use this only to authenticate you and manage your account.

2.5 Advertising data (Google AdMob)

In Match is free and shows ads through Google AdMob. When ads are displayed, Google and its partners may collect advertising identifiers, IP address, device and app information, and ad interaction data. This is used to serve, measure, and improve ads.

2.6 Notifications

If you enable notifications, we use Firebase Cloud Messaging and local notification services to send alerts such as match updates, goals, kickoff, or finished match notifications. We may store notification delivery tokens, notification history on your device, and teams/topics you subscribe to for notifications.

3. How We Use Your Information

• Provide and operate the app (scores, match details, leagues, news, favorites)
• Create and manage your account (registered or guest experience)
• Personalize content (for example, country-related league suggestions)
• Send push notifications you request or enable
• Upload and display your profile photo (if you choose)
• Improve app performance, reliability, and user experience
• Measure app usage and version adoption, including update tracking
• Display advertisements through Google AdMob
• Prevent abuse, fraud, and unauthorized access
• Comply with legal obligations

4. Legal Bases for Processing (EEA/UK Users)

If you are in the European Economic Area or UK, we process personal data based on contract, legitimate interests, consent, and legal obligation. You may withdraw consent at any time where processing is consent-based.

5. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information.

We may share information with service providers such as Google Firebase, Google AdMob, Google Sign-In, Apple Sign In, and cloud/hosting infrastructure providers used to run the app. These providers process data on our behalf under their own privacy terms and security standards.

We may also disclose information if required by law, court order, or government request, or to protect users, our rights, and app security. If In Match is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction with appropriate safeguards.

6. Data Storage and Retention

We retain information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, unless a longer period is required by law.

• Account data: retained while your account is active; deleted or anonymized after account deletion, subject to backup/legal retention limits
• Profile photo: retained until you remove it or delete your account
• Analytics data: retained in aggregated/administrative form for usage reporting
• Notification tokens/history: retained as needed to provide notification features
• Local device cache/preferences: stored on your device until cleared or app uninstall

You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us.

7. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including secure authentication and industry-standard cloud infrastructure. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object, withdraw consent, and request portability where applicable.

In-app controls include notification settings, profile photo controls, sign out / delete account options where supported, ad personalization controls through your device settings, and language selection in app settings.

9. Children’s Privacy

In Match is not directed to children under 13, or the minimum age required in your country. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

Your information may be processed in countries other than your own, including countries where our service providers operate, such as the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for international transfers.

12. iOS App Tracking Transparency (ATT)

On iOS, you may see Apple’s tracking permission prompt. Your choice controls whether apps can access your device advertising identifier for cross-app tracking. In Match respects your choice. If you deny tracking, ads may still appear but may be less personalized.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date above. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice in the app. Continued use after updates means you accept the revised policy.
